 Parul Chauhan shot to fame via her role as Ragini in the hit serial Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai. She has also participated in the Sony TV dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa with choreographer Deepak.

 Parul Chauhan hails from Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. She came from Lucknow to Mumbai in 2005 leaving her engineering course half way. She was motivated by her brother’s friend to try her hand at modelling and her first attempt in the world of acting got her the serial Sapna Babul Ka-Bidaai.

 Parul made it big on the television screen in the above mentioned serial. She hails from an under privileged family in Uttar Pradesh where her father reportedly works as a lower level functionary in the Government. It was subsequent to her popularity in television that improved her living standards

Parul Chauhan was also nominated in the Indian Television Academy awards in 2009.
